Spotlight Feature: The MLHS Lancer Singers!
This elite 23-voice extracurricular choir is hand-selected by audition each year from the Manitowoc Lutheran student body and directed by Joel Ungemach.
For the past 25 years, the Lancer Singers have earned top 1* ratings at WSMA District & State Festivals, were named Best Overall High School Choir in Chicago (2008), and brought home Gold 1st Place in the Vocal Jazz category at the World Strides Heritage Festival in Chicago an incredible five times (2012, 2014, 2016, 2022, & 2024)! In 2019 they received the prestigious WSMA Exemplary Performance award for Mixed Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
Above all, their mission is clear: to sing our Lord’s praises with the incredible gifts He has given them.
