CLINICIAN

Mr. Paul Kanzenbach currently serves as the music director at Nebraska Lutheran High School where he leads the concert band, concert and auditioned choirs, and musicals. A native of Watertown, SD, Paul is an alumnus of Great Plains Lutheran, class of 2003. He graduated from Martin Luther College (2009), majoring in elementary and secondary education with a choral music emphasis. Additionally, he earned his Master of Church Music degree with a choral emphasis from Concordia University - Wisconsin (2021). 

Paul has been blessed with opportunities to work with music students across all levels, from Kindergarten through college Freshman, as well as adults. These opportunities have included conducting church and Sunday school choirs, Junior Choirs, Cantabilé Singers (a former WELS/ELS choral ensemble from the Twin Cities area), serving as all-school music coordinator at St. John’s LES - Milwaukee, and clinicianing a Junior Choir festival in Milwaukee. He appreciates those experiences as each has helped shape him into the director he is today.

Paul is supported by his amazing wife, Sarah, and their four children. He is honored to be a clinician this year, and prays that each singer and audience member will carry a moment away from this year’s Sacred Concert that lasts until they too stand at the throne of God singing his praise.

CLINICIAN

Kari graduated from Martin Luther College in 2000 with a secondary music degree. Currently she is the music department chair of West Lutheran High School in Plymouth, Minn., teaching and directing freshmen music, concert choir, concert band, pep band, Western Accents, and theater. She has spent over a decade leading parish music in her previous calls and congregations. She has been a member of Canticum Novum: a WELS Chamber Choir since 2005. Kari and her husband, James, are blessed with five children.
